Hunt Test Training
Running hunt tests and field trials can be a thrilling and rewarding experience for individuals who enjoy working with and training dogs. Running these test is an awesome way to showcase a dog's natural hunting instincts, obedience, and problem-solving skills in a competitive setting with clear standards so you can see how well your dog does. When you work with us at Big Valley we can help your dog reach is full potential, and run at any level.
How It Works
Once your dog is a proficient gun dog, you can either give the dog a happy life, or test your dogs skills and take them to the next level. We are extremely proud of our program, and how we take your dog and tune it into the awesome machine that you know it can be
AKC
This is one of the standards of testing in the dog world. It includes tests and titles at the Jr, Senior, and Master level. With the top tier test being the Master National. At big Valley our goal is to take each of our Master Level dogs to this top tier test
HRC
This test standard is includes titles of the Seasoned, started, and finished level. The top tier being the Grand. This 5 day test tests your dogs skills only allowing 2 mistakes through out the tests. Along with the master national we strive to take all of our dogs to this event.
Field Trials
This is the top tier level of testing. WIth the different levels and title being Derby, QAA, and FC with the top being NFC which is a test ran by only the best and with each test more dogs are dropped from the competition until only one finishes. While not every dog is able to achieve field trial we will be honest with you continually evaluate your dog.
